Pa Bear and Grammy enjoy time with family especially the grandkids, exploring for lighthouses on the coast, cooking together, playing games, doing puzzles and eating out. Rick and Beth have been members of the Southside family for more than 20 years. Rick and Beth have overseen the Awana Ministry for 20 plus years. A teacher by trade, Rick has taught Sunday school at the youth and adult levels, shared his heart from the pulpit on occasion, served as deacon, elder, janitor, renovation team leader, participated in local missions and outreach projects, and other special projects at Southside.
Rory Picaut (Elder)
Rory and Rachel have been married for 25 years, and have 3 amazing kids: Jacob (15), Kyle (17) , and Samantha (19). In 1999, Rachel received her CPA license and heard the Lord’s calling soon after to stay at home and home school their children while serving at Southside as their Bookkeeper since 2001. Although professionally Rory is a mailman, he has served at Southside and in the community as a deacon, coach, cook, and teacher. His specialty, however, is in sarcasm. As a family, they enjoy serving in as many ways as possible. Although they tend to gravitate to the youth in their surroundings, they are always thrilled to hear the wisdom and stories of our more “mature” brothers and sisters in Christ. Cards, games, and sports are a favorite past-time of the Picaut family. They look forward to serving in the years to come.
Dave (Elder) and Pat (Deacon) Raiche
Dave received Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior in 1983, and has been a member of Southside Bible Fellowship for the last thirty-five years. Dave and Pat have been married for forty-four years, and have three grown children, and two grandchildren. Family time is important to Dave and Pat. They feel blessed to have their granddaughters and two of their children live nearby, providing many opportunities to spend time together.
Dave has worked for ProCon, Inc. for thirty-seven years. His interests include: duck hunting, British cars (which always need TLC), building construction of any kind, and canoeing. He is looking forward to a “semi” retirement in the next several years.
Pat recently retired from the Bedford school system. She is looking forward to spending time with her granddaughters and planning renovations to “the shack”, which will be their retirement home. Currently Pat administers the SBF Deacons’ Fund, facilitates the women’s Sunday School class, teaches in Children’s Church, and volunteers with Straight Ahead Ministries at the YSC.
