AWANA stands for ”Approved Workman Are Not Ashamed”, based on 2 Timothy 2:15. AWANA is an international, non-denominational ministry helping churches and parents worldwide raise children and youth to know, love and serve Christ. SBF’s AWANA Club meets on Friday evenings from September to the end of April. We begin with group prayer at 6:50 p.m. Leaders, Clubbers and family members are all welcome to join us to pray. After that the night is broken up into Book Time (learning and understanding Scripture; reciting verses), Game Time, and a Bible Lesson/Worship time. We close at 8:30 with our Flag Ceremony and Awards. It is a high energy place to be on Friday nights!
Presently we have Club for CUBBIES (3 & 4 years old- must be 3 by November 1st, and “potty trained” is preferred), SPARKS (K, 1st & 2nd Grade), and T & T (3rd through 6th grade). For more information about AWANA at SBF contact Rick or Beth Bower. More information is available on the AWANA Clubs International website.
“That all children and youth throughout the world will come to KNOW, LOVE and SERVE the Lord Jesus Christ.”
