Prayer Ministries and Opportunities at SBF

Prayer Chain
This ministry spreads emergency prayer needs by telephone and email. Both daytime and evening chains are set up for this purpose.

Sunday
It is important that we worship and serve God in the power of His Spirit. Accordingly, a group meets before the first Sunday worship service, at 8:00 am, to ask for God's blessing and direction in all that is said and done throughout the day, as well as during each service, and to ask for the Spirit's empowerment in, and through, those who speak, sing, pray, and listen.

Tuesday Morning and Evening
This is an informal time to come before the Lord with whatever needs are on anyone's heart. The morning session begins at 6:30 am and conclude at 7:30 am, and the evening session begins at 7:00 pm and concludes at 8:30 pm. Come when you can and leave when you must.

Ministry Prayer Teams
Several of our ministries have teams to pray for their particular needs.

Heritage Groups
On the first Saturday evening of each month, gatherings are held in various homes to pray for our children and families. Sites are announced in the Southside weekly bulletin and website calendar.

"24/7"
We're trusting God to have His people praying for each other in 1/2 hour segments around the clock. All are encouraged to choose a workable time to bring the needs of our Body before Him.

"3 for 30"
Through the use of monthly bookmarks, all are challenged to pray for three people who do not yet know Christ to come to Him during the month.

"Special Emphases"
We annually participate in the National Day of Prayer in May, World Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church in November, and various other local inter-church prayer efforts in the area.
