A Legacy of Faith, Fellowship, and Service Since 1950
Our History
In 1950, a small group of believers on Arlington Street in Manchester felt God calling them to establish a church. They wanted a place where the Bible was taught faithfully, where believers could grow in Christ, and where the community could encounter the love of Jesus.
From those humble beginnings, the church grew steadily, moving to South Jewett Street in the heart of Manchester. Over the decades, the congregation became known for its commitment to expositional preaching, genuine fellowship, and compassionate service to the community.
In 1992, a pivotal moment arrived. Two churches—each with its own rich history and faithful membership—came together in a merger that would shape the future of Southside Bible Fellowship. This union was not just an administrative decision; it was a Spirit-led coming together of believers who shared a common vision: to be a church family that connects, encourages, and equips people to follow Jesus Christ.
Today, Southside Bible Fellowship continues that legacy. We are a multi-generational church where seasoned saints mentor young believers, where children learn the truth of God's Word, and where everyone—regardless of background—can find a place to belong.

The Beginning
A small group of believers on Arlington Street establishes what would become Southside Bible Fellowship, committed to faithful Bible teaching and genuine community.
Growing Roots
The church relocates to 200 South Jewett Street, establishing a permanent home in the heart of Manchester where it could serve the community more effectively.
Historic Merger
Two churches unite in a Spirit-led merger, combining their strengths, resources, and vision to create a stronger, more unified body of believers committed to reaching Manchester and beyond.
Continuing the Legacy
Southside Bible Fellowship remains a vibrant, multi-generational church family committed to our mission: Connect. Encourage. Equip. We continue to faithfully teach God's Word, love our community, and make disciples who make disciples.
